The Wedding Bands

Yesterday Martin and I went shopping for our wedding bands and as is our luck found them at the very first shop! We went to Hatton Garden which is famous for wedding ring shopping. This is the area where Martin also bought my engagement ring. The first shop we went to had several SALE signs outside so thought that would be a good place to start. I picked out a couple of styles I liked and they happened to have one in my size. Is that fate or what? Martin also had a look at a couple but so distraught he is at having to wear jewelry that any ring is going to be bad so he just chose something simple and timeless. We were kind of sold at that point but we did tell the shop we would have to look around and would let them know. We left and then went back 10 minutes later. Our brief window shopping told us we probably wouldn't find anything as cheap, and we both are of the mind that it isn't worth wasting time looking around when you have already found what you want. Because the ring we got for me was already my size, we took it home that day. I have to pick up Martin's ring next week. And the best part of all was we were meeting some friends that evening and I got to wear mine all night. There wasn't enough time to take it home and we both felt it was safer on my finger than it was in my bag. It was sad taking it off though.
